I love pineapple juice and I love Jalapeño so a spicy margarita just made sense. Spoiler alert, these don't need to be super super spicy, but they can be which is fun.
To make it spicy, you should soak two-three slices of Jalapeño's in one shot of tequila about an hour before you are ready to mix it. Or you can muddle it in the shaker cup as you are making it. This will release the juices.
To make it less spicy, just place the Jalapeño's in the shaker cup and garnish the drink with Jalapeño's.
Also, I didn't rim the glass with salt because I didn't want to.
Here is what you will need for one drink:
- One shaker cup
- 1 cup of pineapple juice
- 1 shot of tequila
- 1/2 shot of triple sec
- the juice of one lime
- 5-7 slices of Jalapeño, sliced thinly (leave a few to put in the drink)
- 2 ice cubes
How to make it:
- Add everything in the shaker cup, except for the ice cubes and 3 slices of Jalapeño.
- Shake the cup for 30 seconds.
- Serve in a glass, add ice cubes and Jalapeño's as garnish.
