New Years Resolutions

New Years Resolutions aren't really my thing, I think we drop those off too easily. I've said it before goals are far more attainable and it's actually something we might stick to if we want it enough. I'm going to try and stick to 10 this year.

1) Buy less stuff

I love buying stuff, I buy too much and then I wonder why my credit card is so high. This is a goal every year, but I think it's important to keep all the time.

2) Lower my cholesterol

Everyone keeps telling me I am too young for elevated cholesterol. I've said it so many times, I am an old person stuck in the body of a 25 year old. I have arthritis, I need B12 injections, now I have elevated cholesterol. I have no idea what I did, but I need to get it under control. More salads, more cardio, and less fried chicken.

3) Start sleeping better

I may have some insomnia since I am pretty sure I wake up in the middle of the night every night.

4) Drink less alcohol

I am currently doing this, but I've noticed significant changes when I drink less, like sleeping better and being less puffy.

5) Drink more water

It's so tough to get in 8 glasses a day, but the benefits are so good.

6) Take a really big trip

One is in the works. Stay tuned.

7) Start my masters

It's a goal to have a masters or further my education, I want to start in 2019.

8) Go for more walks outside

Fresh air is healthy. I walk 40 minutes a day to and from work, but I feel like I need to see more nature.

9) Buy a new bike

My bike stopped working in the middle on an intersection.

10) Grow Jalapeños and more herbs in my garden

Last year I grew some basic items, but this year, I want to grow items I know I will eat.

I hope you come up with goals that help you thrive as a human.

Thanks for reading,

Samantha
