Road Travels : Boston

In the middle of the summer, we made our trip to Boston, something we do every year. This year, our trip was very eventful! We started the trip on Thursday and drove all the way to Augusta, Maine. We stayed the night and left the next morning for Old Orchard Beach, which was packed!

We stayed at the beach for a little while. Then headed down towards Boston. We stayed on the outskirts in Needham, the trip which was should have been like 1.5 hours took 3 hours because of traffic.

That night we went to a Red Socks game and used the subway.

This train station is closed, but our train ride was littered with these sweet old train stations, which just added to the Boston charm.

Then we got to see a Red Socks game and what an incredible journey that was! The architecture, the history, it was mesmerizing. The green giant did not disappoint. It's nice that the baseball field is the same, it's over 100 years old! I was sitting in history! Just think of the games, think of the players, ugh, so exciting that I was there.

The next morning, we went to the market. On our way there, we saw so many historical houses that were just architecturally incredible to see. I want an old house.

Don't look too excited Sam.

This is the best cannoli you will ever have! It's from Carol Ann's Bake Shop.

After the market, we went back to our hotel and took a nap because we were going to see TAYLOR SWIFT!!! Which I wrote a separate blog post about, in case you missed it.

The next morning, on Sunday, we got up early, had breakfast, and we headed home. Don't worry, I made everyone stop in Freeport to have a coconut cream donut (got the last one)

Thanks for reading,

Samantha
