Get Ready With Me: Christmas Day

Well, the weather is frightful. There is an ice rink outside of my house and I haven't left the house since yesterday morning. I will be royally angry if I can't leave tomorrow. I don't want to leave more things last minute. Anyways, this leaves me to my next point, I was supposed to do a movie night blog post, but I didn't have the ingredients at my house for what I was planning, so you're getting a Get Ready With Me post instead because I can to that without leaving the house. Also, i'll be using products from the gift guide I made earlier this month.

I did this last year and it was such a long post, so I'm going to try and keep it shorter this year.

So today I will be using these products:

Skin Care (It's important to prep the face, I really like Olay)

Olay Regenerist regenerating Serum; Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Eye Cream; Olay Daily Moisturizer for sensitive skin

Face Makeup

Almay Smart Shade Luminous Primer; Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination Skin in Buff; NYX Conceal. Correct. Contour in Light

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight; Rimmel Londons Stay Matte Pressed Powder; Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in Medium Deep Matte Bronzer

Eyes and Lips

M.A.C's Patina (bottom left); Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Soul; Peek Eyebrow Powder in Expresso; Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara; L'Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive in Blake's Red

How I applied everything:

For the skincare items, I applied the serum focusing on my t-zone and my eyes, then I applied the eye cream with my ring finger, and then I applied the moisturizer all over my face. (I could have waited 10-minutes and put on sunscreen, but I am sitting inside until the ice rink that is my road is cleared off)

For the primer, it is very similar to the moisturizer, I just added that the same as the moisturizer. For the foundation, I pumped the product on the back of my hand and I applied it with a brush over my face, then to smooth it, I patted everything in with a sponge. I applied the concealer to areas that have hyper pigmentation and scaring from my acne.

For the highlighter, this product can be used over and under pressed powder, so to have an extra glowy look, I applied the liquid highlighter using my ring finger on the tops of my cheeks. Then I applied the pressed powder and the liquid highlighter again. Finally, I applied the bronzer to contour my cheeks making sure to blend into my hairline and to blur the lines of the contour. I didn't add blush, but you can add whatever you want. I just wanted the highlight to stand out.

For the eyeshadow, I have added a picture below to show you where I applied each colour (I made this last minute, its not very good quality). Just make sure you blend everything out. This look is very day-time appropriate, but you could totally add more shimmer or glitter if you wanted. Then I filled in my eyebrows, I added mascara, and I added my red lipstick.

Here is the finished look:

What I'll be wearing:

I wanted something cozy, so I've decided to go with this sweater dress from Winners. It's actually quite long, going to my knees and there's this great slit on the side, so I'll be wearing opaque black tights underneath. For shoes, I bought these amazing suede boots, so I'll probably wear those.

That's it, a very quick GRWM on Christmas Day. Maybe next year we will have a Christmas movie night.

Thanks for reading,

Samantha
